About Buda Methodist Child Care Center

PURPOSE AND PHILOSOPHY:

The Buda Methodist Child Care Center is a means of ministry to children, parents and community. We believe every child has a right to grow and learn in a nurturing environment. Learning in early childhood is a step-by-step process. Each step builds on the last one and is a lifelong task.

For Children

Satisfying experiences and loving relationships at church childcare communicate God's love in terms preschoolers can understand. Our program is planned to meet the physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual needs of children. We believe that when we meet these needs as an expression of Christ's love, we build positive foundations in the lives of children.

For Parents

Our Child Care, preschool and Summer Camp programs are a supportive ministry to families where both parents work or where a parent remains at home to rear the children. In today's society, where grandparents and other relatives often live in distant communities, BMCCC offers quality child care for parents who cannot rely on family assistance.

The program provides parents necessary time for shopping, doctor's appointments, volunteer work, jobs, recreation, or involvement in church activities. In addition, we have other ministries, including a monthly newsletter, parent-teacher meetings, child guidance, parent resources, and parent support groups.

For the Community

The Child Care, Preschool, and summer camp are open to the entire community. We want parents to know we are about them and their children. We provide information about the invitations to special events, services and activities in our church for any parent involved in BMCCC.

BMCCC provides full time group care to children from 6 weeks to five years of age. We also provide before and after school care for school age children and summer Camp for those completing K-5th Grade.

All BMCCC staff attend a specified number of training hours per year and plan their days to be developmentally appropriate to their age group. BMCCC is in compliance with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services staff/child ratios and minimum standards for child care centers.
